Feeling limited by her ability to help one individual at a time, Yanna decided to take advantage of the skills she acquired over the years of working with underserved populations to initiate a non-profit organization. She obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology. Yanna is currently working as a free crisis counselor at Thiha Therapy, providing psychoeducation to trauma survivors from all walks of life.

Inspired by his personal experience with cultural assimilation, homesickness, and other challenges he faced while pursuing an educational journey in uncharted territory, Thet decided to leverage that experience to provide support and empower those in similar situations. Thet obtained a Master of Science in Finance at Vanderbilt University as a Fulbright Scholar. Thet is currently working as an investment banker advising middle-market companies in Myanmar to raise capital through debt and equity.

Khant Nyein is a crucial PM team member that operates outside the US. He is PM’s main advocate for students in Myanmar and is also working towards attaining higher education in the US. Khant Nyein has experience working in hospital and school settings and is also proficient in IT. He is currently working as a teaching assistant at an international school.
